Reader Tip: Alphabet Decor

ABCDecoration! AT: Nursery Reader Tara shares a great find with us that's perfect for this month's Adornment theme. For her daughter, Tara says: My daughter is two and is beginning to learn her letters and colors. I wanted to make sure she had them around her so she could see them and absorb the information. As a teacher in training, I spend a lot of time in classrooms and am around classroom decor items all day. It occurred to me that a brightly colored alphabet that would ordinarily hang in a classroom would be the perfect addition to her bedroom walls. I found the perfect set at a local teacher supply store and hung them in her room at her eye level. They're colorful but not obnoxious, incorporate animals corresponding to the letters and, of course, show the letters. She LOVES them! She's learned all kinds of new animals and words like yak, vulture, xylophone and fox. We love how the brightly colored cards just pop against the green-colored wall. Thanks for the tip, Tara!
