Yep, agree on the porno-set feel especially with the closet mirrors! As a girl, I wouldn't have it in my room, but I wouldn't mind staying over.

I agree, it would not be very relaxing to have a spotlight shining in your face while lying in bed with a book. But I love the color and textures of your room. The photos are beautiful.

The gigantic mirror (closet doors?) remind me of American Psycho.

Thanks for your comments, as for the colour: I paint it couple of years ago and the name for it was "Spanish Leather" but I don't remember by who at this point. It's very much like caramel.

A truly lovely job. Doing your own space is the most difficult. You've edited to perfection. And to those making snarky comments about "porno lighting", let's see some pics of YOUR bedroom. This is someone's HOME. This isn't a movie set or a page from a magazine layout. I also liked how you incorporated what looks like a bunch of senitmental travel shots in a very cohesive way. I've been looking for a nice way to display my travel shots. I think I'll "steal" this idea!

I love the warmth the walls present for the room. The centering of the photos in a non traditional format is fantastic. I have never seen them presented in such a way. The plant adds to the atmosphere and I love the mirrored closet. I'd be very comfortable in the room.

I love your bedding! It looks really soft and comfortable. Can I ask where you got it? I can see how cozy it would be especially in the winter time.

Believe it or not but I picked up the bedding (both sheets and duvet cover set) at the Sam's Club some time last year.

Where did you get the long picture frames?

To me, the wires of the hanging lights ruin the clean lines of the rest of the room.

I also feel uneasy about the twin portraits of the Dali Lama because they turn the wall of photographs into a shrine-like display. (that's just me. am not a fan of idolizing icons, even a popular and much venerated world figure such as His Holiness).
