Here are some photos of my bedroom. Since it's a small space, I decorated with furniture in neutral colors and strong red accents. The wall hanging over the bed is from China and depicts 1,000 boys; it is supposed to bring good luck. The wall hanging, long white curtains, and the red paper lantern over the "kitchen" also emphasize the tall ceilings...
The large striped chair rolls out into a comfortable futon bed for guests. The box next to it is one of those very useful storage cubes/stools/end tables. They are both from Ikea, along with the nightstand, bedside lamp, and the lamp on the dresser. You can see the rest of my apartment at:

where'd you get that cute little bedside drawer unit?

I like your woven cube. Natural materials look so great with red and white.
What does your map depict?
That bedside drawer unit is from Ikea, but they don't offer that exact type anymore with the wooden drawers. Now they just have all-metal ones, but the drawers are a great size, perfect for decorating magazines.
The map is of DC. It isn't exactly L'Enfant's plan, but I beleive it's an 18th century vision of what the city would eventually look like. I got it at a church bazaar.
