Do you remember touring Ricki & Chad's Classic Cliff May Home? How about Jarrett's party perfect place in Los Angeles or Andy & Andrew's vintage-lovers apartment? Those are just three of the 100 truly amazing tour posts that we've pinned to our special Pinterest board and we'd like you to help us choose the Top 10 of 2012...
All year long we take you inside real homes and apartments for a look at fresh spaces, smart design solutions and to meet the always interesting inhabitants. For the first time ever, we're asking readers to choose the TOP tours of the year: the ones that resonated with you the most, that inspired your own design choices or, perhaps, where you fantasize living yourself!
Whether you remember the tours from when they were first posted or are just discovering them now, you can take part in the process. Sit back, take your time and enjoy!
How it works:
1. Follow and visit our Top 10 Tours of 2012 Pinterest Board between December 1st and 31st to discover, revisit and enjoy 100 of our most popular tours published in 2012. Simply click through on any image to view the full tour.
2. Repin your 10 most favorite tours from that board, to select your own "top ten".
3. At the end of December, we'll tally up those repins to determine Readers' Top 10 Tours of the Year and announce them on Apartment Therapy on January 1st. (Note: We will only be counting repins of the images originally pinned on the "Top House Tours of 2012" board created by Apartment Therapy).
And, of course, we hope you'll follow us on Pinterest throughout the year as we share tours, style and living tips, shopping guides and more.

Shaw's Original Fir...
Just an obvious observation but you can clearly see a trend where the spaces that don't have people in them are doing considerably better than the spaces that have people as the cover photo's. Makes this contest a little skewed and unfair.
I'm just saying the people are a clear distraction to what people should be looking at and voting on.
Hi, that's an interesting observation, conejocracker . But to be clear, the intent isn't for this to be a "contest" - there are no prizes, etc.
We're really just trying a new way to share a large amount (100!) of our fantastic tours from the past year in a fun, concise, visual format that links through to each tour for anyone who wants to dig deeper AND provide the readers who would like to help us select their 10 favorites with a way to do that.
The selection process is open throughout the whole month, so it is possible that the ones in the current lead will remain there,or others may move up as more people "repin" between now and New Years Eve - only time will tell!
To those who do participate, big thanks - its been lots of fun to put this together and we're excited to see so many of you enjoying it and helping us select this years top 10. We also hope that everyone enjoys exploring these 100 great tours and finding out the results of the Readers Choice process on January 1, whether or not you choose to take part in the process.
Thanks and happy house tour-ing!
My favorite aren't there! I wanted to vote for Pamela's Blank Canvas (http://www.apartmenttherapy.com/pamelas-blank-canvas-goes-bold-house-tour-173762) or Sarah's house (http://www.apartmenttherapy.com/sarashouse-tour-178309). But they aren't on the pin board. Why?
Most of my favorites aren't even included in the top 100. lol
Is Pinterest paying a fee to AT for this promotion? It should be. Next thing you'll be forcing people to sign in using Facebook.
I love "Joshua's Vintage Daydream" and visit the tour again and again. It is an elegant, warm home and I either missed it in the top 100 or it didn't make it. I did see some of my favorites, but not Joshua's lovely home!
kushkush... I agree, I don't use Pinterest or Facebook but it seems that they are becoming the only way to participate on the internet. It is a shame as I choose to have a life and not live through social media. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy browsing the internet but just not living on it.
conejo, I agree. Sometimes the personal photos are so "off-putting" that I'm scared to look further. I wish AT would just leave out these photos and focus more on the design.
Seabass, I'm with you. I don't use Pinterest or FB either and don't plan to in the future.
I also hate how Facebook has overtaken everything, and Pinterest is just overload for me.
On the topic of photos of residents in house tours, I actually like having one, max two pictures of the residents. But more than that is distracting, and those tours that feel more like modeling shoots for the residents are downright annoying.
Why not do a Top Ten Pets in Apartment Therapy House Tours 2012! You'd have too many cute pets to eliminate, though.
The dog on the photo is hilarious. What does he think he is? A baby? And look at how mommy carries him. Very cute!
I saw a velvety brown sofa yesterday that I really liked but was wondering if it would be too much brown with all of my mid-century walnut furniture. I like how they've put a light blue rug on the floor in this photo.
