Carol sent us an email with photos of her bathroom renovation. She says, "We live in a small old house in a small town outside of Ann Arbor, MI. Our bathroom is a work in progress. We started out with horrible purple floral wall paper and a landlord light strip...
We've added some bead board and plan to extend that around the room. Someday we hope to replace the tiny nearly square tub with a footed tub and the vanity with a repurposed dresser. The hoosier doesn't fit in our kitchen but works great in this bathroom. It's a nice block so that the toilet doesn't really show from the door. The aluminum holders on the wall were used in one of the U of M dorm cafeterias in the steam table. We just screwed them into the wall. Thanks for looking! Carol"

We always love the look of "real" furniture, such as the hoosier cabinet, in bathrooms - a great look and excellent for storage. We think the color of the "blue heaven" walls (to use Carol's term) is just right with the white beadboard.
Thanks to Carol for sharing the photos - good ideas and inspiration for bathroom month!

Commercial Flour Sa...
Let's fit the living room in there and maybe two night stands... with her standards she won't see unnecessary clutter of over-storage, she'll just see heaven. lol
Nice job. It looks great!
Nice. I especially like the hoosier cabinet.
Very soothing colors and nice composition. Just a tad too cluttery for my tastes, tho. Still, very nice!
I love the cabinet but not in the bathroom. It looked like a kitchen at first glance, definitely not something I want to be reminded of while relaxing in the tub.
I like it and I like the hoosier in the bathroom. I don't think it looks cluttered at all--just comfortable.
I think it looks terrific! Good work Carol! I love when people re-think the use of certain furniture pieces. Very clever. ;-)
I don't think it looks cluttered. I love it! I like how Carol has repurposed the Ikea galvanized steel flower pots as organizers. I may have to do that myself....
That cabinet is gorgeous!
Love it!
