I'm addicted to browsing the local real estate on Trulia in my spare time. I'm not in the market for a new place, but I like to see what else is out there. Dallas continues to surprise me with the range of architectural styles in my area. This original Mid Century Modern definitely had me a little green with envy! Want to take a peek?
Built by an architect in 1959 as their personal residence, this MCM home is a 2002 American Institute of Architects design award-winner. The sloping roofs and original... well... original everything (!) is definitely an MCM enthusiasts dream come true.
Thanks for the peek Ed!

How dreamy.
Oooh, MCM interior as seen through the 90s though... eek.
This is an HDR crime scene. Please do not abuse HDR. If you do not know what you are doing please hand the camera to a professional. Otherwise, great house!
Truly fugly
There's a lot going on in there, but the house itself is fanfreakintastic!
I love the structure. I love the furniture. But, OMG, there is no place in the living room to rest my eyes! The kitchen and bedrooms are much better.
very cool house. love the colorful furnishings. (although the rug might be a bit much.)
The pictures are really bad--the furnishings and art do not look 90s like they do in the pictures. I've been to the house.
that roof is amazing. the living room looks like a thrift store though..
Nice Place! I with there was a floorplan included.
Love the architecture, but dear god the decorating is horrible. This, coming from someone who loves MCM.
It goes without saying that they need to edit down. There's a pretty face underneath all of that makeup.
