Want to make a big impact on the way your kitchen looks and feels this weekend? Want to clean an important spot in preparation for the upcoming fall months (that may be full of entertaining)? Then buckle down and do a deep clean of this element in your kitchen — the whole room will feel better for it!

This Weekend's Assignment:

Clean your stove deeply and thoroughly!

Yes, it's time to really get down and clean that stove thoroughly. Though you might keep the top surface clean-ish throughout the weeks and months, how long has it been since you moved and removed parts and scrubbed the spots you don't see? Cleaning a stove thoroughly will not only make it look as nice as it did when you moved in, regular maintenance can keep your stove working better longer. And that feeling of just knowing that a part of your home is really, really, really clean is totally worth a little elbow grease.

So check out the how-tos below from both Apartment Therapy and The Kitchn; they should help you tackle cleaning your stove thoroughly (but feel free to ask any questions you might have in the comments below!)

Remember, as with all of our Weekend Projects, just do what you have the time and energy to do!

We loved seeing what you guys were working on last weekend! Some of our favorite pics we spotted on the #ATweekendproject hashtag on Instagram:

Instagram user vancitysandee totally took some of our advice from our most recent Weekend Project, Tame This Out-of-Control Spot for an Instantly Less Messy Looking Space. Above, the before shot of her bedside shelf with visible wires. Below, the subtle but powerful new corner sans wires that show!

It's not wire-related, but we were so impressed by the sweet little side tables made by Instagram user laurenshan. Great job!
