I am unable to read most of this because of the strange print. I'm very interested in the topic though.
I agree get out those chairs!
I am a yoga teacher and I tell my students that sitting on the ground is just as good as going to a yoga class! Abdominal strengthis reqyired to get up & sit down as well as balance on our sitting bones. We also get the lovely opportunity to open our hip joints and breathe more deeply because our spine is straighter.
I am also convinced that the western affliction of lower back issues comes from sitting on furniture whcih is off the ground!
I agree this is an important health issue and have taken measures to cut back on sitting in my work. Still, it annoys me when yoga instructors and the like admonish the sitting. It is easy for you to say! You are a yoga teacher!! Some of us have professions that make it very difficult to minimize the sitting.
