Fat Dog Fabrications makes some pretty cool reclaimed furniture. The owner, Don Wood, discovered traditional woodworking techniques using rough cut wood and other reclaimed materials after spending five months on PBS's Colonial House.

Fat Dog Fabrication's ever-expanding array of materials has led to some great experiments in furniture: concrete table tops, reclaimed barn-wood benches, and steel framed tables. He spends his time between boutique carpentry and perfecting his industrial-reclaimed furniture. His material includes concrete, which he pours into custom made molds, and reclaimed barn boards and beams. He'll buys a lot of wood at auctions and turns it into beautiful furniture, which he primarily sells at the Brooklyn Flea market.
