Reclaimed Wood Built-ins by Roberto Gil

This beautiful floor to ceiling built-in is composed almost entirely of wood collected from an old farm house in upstate New York. The original structure was carefully disassembled and preserved, and then turned into this beautiful shelving.

The wood's natural character has been preserved, held together with bolted steel and protected by a hand brushed clear coat to allow the grain to show through. Roberto Gil is known for his use of reclaimed wood (another one of his pieces: Oscar's Bed from CasaKids).

Roberto carefully selects boards individually for structural integrity, color and texture. Much of the original signs of wear are maintained to give the piece character, but overall it's a very clean and finished piece of furniture.
