Q: I've been looking far and wide for a decent looking, lightweight, and portable notebook stand for my Macbook Pro 13", but I haven't had much luck in finding a solution that works for me. Any recommendations?
A: Up top, we have Aviiq’s very beautiful, but also very pricey Folding Notebook Stand (which has received high marks by Wired), but will set you back $80.
An alternative option would be Logitech's Alto Stand which is made of and goes for roughly $32 plus shipping on Amazon.
Or if you just wanna go all out and get the fanciest thing out there, you can grab the Bamuda X-Base stand for $395. If you do decide to go with this one, feel free to send us one, too. We've got plenty of stickers to share.

Shaw's Original Fir...
Something easy and cheap to do is buy this document holder from Office Max, cut it at the top bend so you just have a long piece of mesh with a small "L" at the end, and cover your cut with one of those binders for plastic document covers. Total cost of about $10
I have two of the iLap aluminum stands. very light and simple.

They go between 50 and $70 depending on size. The fuzzy part at the front is removable.
Or you can use the solution I developed for my Gateway: Two soda bottle caps. Portable and free. Don't like the look? Buy a different brand of soda and change the color.
I use the EZbookPad from Macally. It's $40 dollars and I've been really happy with it.

We got the $3 plastic one from Ikea. Molded plastic, works well.
I don't know the name of this product, but I've seen it at the local fnac here. It's four square rubber/silicone pads that attached to the bottom of the laptop and prop it up. It reminds me of those bed-raisers. I liked how minimal it looked. No idea how well they attach and detach repeatedly.
