Recycled Bicycle Chain Bowl

Bicycle chains on the tabletop? Doesn't quite sound right but we like the looks of this Recycled Bicycle Chain Bowl, made by Resource Revival.

It's made of, well, old bicycle chains and is 10" in diameter. A sort of punk rock fruit bowl, if you will. Available at Elsewares, an online shop of independent art and design.

Ow! Wouldn't it scrape or pinch your fingers every time you pick it up?

I would think it would scratch the table.

This is a handsome bowl. I want one. Looks like there is bottom covering so it won't scratch.

i love elsewares - they also have little votive holders made from recycled bike parts. they're irreverent yet classic, and my mother (my MOTHER!!) uses them on her screened-in porch in texas. best christmas gift ever.

I love it as wall art.
