Chinese New Year begins on January 23 and brings us the Year of the Dragon. So it's perfect that I came across this terrific recycled dragon sculpture. Look closely and you'll see that it's made out of plastic forks, spoons, knives and cups!
toge-NYC at deviantART created this sculpture completely freehand, without blueprints or plans. But what it didn't cost him in materials, it definitely cost in time. 80 hours worth!
I'm sure you would agree, great work on this auspicious and timely sculpture.

Is it recycled or did they go out and buy new ones? Despite its obvious beauty and time consuming artistry all I can see are dead albatross chicks on the nest with a heap of plastic where their stomachs used to be. I'm sorry but plastic is causing all sorts of trouble for our wildlife worldwide. I could go on but you all know the story.
AMAZING!!!!!

Wow, what an impressive dragon!! I love the creativity behind it.
Looks great, but I hope the artist employed used materials and won't chuck it out once the season's over :P
@veslabeachgirl: that's exactly what I was wondering too.
hmm, I clicked the source link and it states that everything was gotten at the 99cents store. :(
