We love the glasses made from upcycled beer and soda bottles, but we recognize that they're not for everyone. (For instance, we don't think Mom would like 'em.) However, Mom would love these recycled glass tumblers from Novica.
These tumblers (6 for $47.99) ) and pitcher ($39.99) from Novica are made from recycled glass in Mexico.
They're all created by hand by artisans using a blown-glass technique. We think the "confetti"—the speckling—gives them an elegant, but still fun, style. They look like abstract pieces of art and remind us of Venetian glass.
Yeah, Mom would definitely like them.

love them. pricey, but I love them.
Recycled glass? Heh, that's a bit like saying "recycled steel," - in other words, redundant. You probably use glass items every day that you don't realize were made with recycled glass. :)
Still, handmade funky glasses are well worth the price. These are nice thick ones too. Really thin glass is the hallmark of a good artist, but nice thick glasses feel awesome when you get them cold and they last much better to boot!
