I have been watching Work of Art on Bravo the last couple of weeks. One of the episodes assignments was to create an art piece from random junk, which reminded me of the work of an artist who inspires me, Nick Gentry. He incorporates used items, such as floppy disks and VHS tapes, into his modern paintings. Recycled collage art has become a popular art form, which finds a new use for old newspapers, ticket stubs, stamps, etc.
