Lately, because our outdoor space is limited and we're trying to spend as much time in the sunshine as we can, while we can, we've been struggling to make the most of our front porch.
The bench that is currently there, leftover from previous tenants, is pretty dilapidated (we worry it might collapse under our collective weight). New seating arrangements are in order. A couple of chairs, or another bench from Craigslist would certainly work, but we've also been eyeing these outdoor chairs and benches from Loll Designs.
The park bench ($1,199) is probably our favorite.
But the armless double ($669) is a bit more afordable.
What's especially great about Loll's whole outdoor furniture line, other than its rugged good looks, is that it's made from 100 percent recycled post-consumer high density polyethylene (think plastic milk jugs and margarine tubs) that was otherwise headed for a landfill.
We really like Loll's philosophy, too: "Using green products should not entail that you have to sacrifice anything; it should be better in every way than its uneco-friendly counterpart."
