Who says solid furniture need come from one piece of wood? These stools were created from otherwise useless scrap timber, meticulously cut to size and pieced together. What better use for scraps than forming something solid and functional?
Tel Aviv-based Ubico Studios has taken to creating new furniture out of scrap timber. While glue is used to unify the parts into a solid structure, the benefits derived from recycling the wood scraps outweighs the use of adhesives. To finish it all off, the wood is carved into the tree stump like shapes seen here.
