If you're handy with a needle and thread, some of these recycled sweater ideas could be fun DIY projects. Otherwise, you can buy re-purposed knit goods from several online sources. Pillows are the most common second-life for sweaters, but they can be used whereever fabric is required. Here are a few clever recycled sweater designs:
• Sweater-Knit Pillows by Angella Eisman, $27-$45.
• Felt Garland Multicolor Circles by Big Brown House , $26.
• Sweater Deer Head by Rachel Denny as part of her Domestic Trophies Collection.
• Green Recycled Scarfs and Mittens at Uncommon Goods, $8-$25.
• Coffee Cozy by New Green Mama, $7.

I say the pillows - yes. They're cute. Having said that, I have nothing that frilly in my home. Maybe I them most in someone else's home :)
Oops - I meant "Maybe I LIKE them most in someone else's home. Late night commenting never a good idea . . .
The pillows are so cute. Love the deer head. Not so sure about that lamp shade...
Love love love.
I love these pillows, you don't just have to use sweaters though, I used an old dress that I outgrew to recover a pad on a dining room chair, and I get so many compliments on it!

The sweater lamp shade just screams fire hazard at me.
Cable knit Bambi --too funny!
I kind of like the felted garland and the ruffle pillows are nifty, although not to my taste. (The rainbow array in the photo looks pretty amazing!)
I love the dear heads, but I don't think they are recycled sweaters, they look like custom knits. The pillows and garland are really cute too.
