Recycling Makes Good: Upholstery by Eleanor Young

Inspired by architectural forms and fragmented shapes, textile artist Eleanor Young recycles old or outdated furniture with conceptual, custom upholstery designs.

We're fans of bold pattern when it comes to reupholstering old furniture but Eleanor's custom patchwork-style goes above and beyond. The prismatic shapes embroidered into the fabric take the furniture to an intriguing new realm — like we're observing a textile metamorphosis.

Eleanor is also working with pillows and vinyl applique. Check out all of her work here.
