I personally enjoy the bolder side of red and white — reupholster your old sofa with thick red and white striped fabric. If you like the idea but prefer something less bold, add some red and white stripped pillows to your sofa or a pile next to it — subtle touches will actually make a big impact.

Red and white work especially well in the kitchen and dining room. A modern white dining table looks as if it were made to have bright red chairs tucked under it. The chairs demand attention without drawing any away from the table; they truly are made for each other.

Accessorize an all white bedroom or bathroom with bright red blossoms. Sure, they'll only last a week or so but you'll enjoy one of the most exhilarating and successful color combinations, if only for a moment.
