Maybe I've lived in one too many apartments with poorly-ventilated, mildewy old bathrooms, but my dream bathroom would be a cool, clean, almost clinical space. Not a lot of color, texture, or pattern. Rather; no-nonsense, spare design that's easy to clean and a respite for the senses at the start or end of a busy day. Here's what I would do if I were so lucky to be working from a blank slate:
1) vintage laboratory wall cabinet from Scout
2) Speakman Anystream showerhead
3) shower floor of 1" hex tile in ming green, Mosaic Tile + Stone
4) Kohler Gilford apron-front, wall-mount sink
5) Ann Sacks' Crystal Glass wall tile in water gloss
6) Toto Aquia wall-hung dual-flush toilet
7) one big slab of marble cut to fit the bathroom floor

Nomade Express Slee...
That Kohler sink is more than rent....
Oh that cabinet is dreamy but I would avoid marble in the bathroom like the plague. We had it in our old one and between the marble only cleaning solutions, you should see how it looked after 1 year of water falling on it. Never again.
i would lovee that sink for my bathroom.. but so expensive! does anyone know of a cheaper alternative?
Funny...the first thing I thought when I saw that sink was "laundry sink.". I think you could approximate the look on the cheap by getting a utility sink out of a renovator's catalog.
I put mosaic tile on my shower floor and would never, never do so again. Too much grout in a place where the traction holds water, bacteria, soap, skin cells. It's impossible to keep it looking good over the long term.
My guest bathroom is completely white with glass and metal sink and a future glass door.
I've been trying to think what type of mirror would look good on it.
Also i've made a mistake when choosing the tiles, i used the same tiles for the walls and floor and one day after a year of not even trying that bathroom i went and took a shower and the freaking floor almost killed me.
So slippery, which type of floor tile do you recommend. I live in costa rica but i can buy them online and have them send to my country, so if you have links it will be awesome.
Our bathrooms are a riff on this --
Starck2 wall hung toilet
Vidrotil white glass mosaic tiles on walls and shower floor (@RURAL AND RUEFUL we have issues with mold, but it is because of the type of grout and shower base system we used)
Honed Unfading green slate for the floors
White rectangular wall-hung sink
Geissdorf 8 shower head
Boffi Minimal taps, shower controls
American Standard makes a sink that is similar for less than 1/2 the price of the Kohler.
@mschatelaine are thoses tile slippery? I want to buy new tiles for our white bathroom but I do not know which type will be non slippery.
I'm going to buy them online and have them send to my country so I would appreciate if you guys can attach some links please.
I've seen lots of janitor sinks similar to the one here, usually a bit deeper.
Needs a mirror somewhere, awesome as that cabinet is.
here i thought that was a clever use of an inexpensive janitorial sink...yikes.
