If you're planning a renovation and need some advice about how to go about it, you have to visit REGREEN—an online set of resources and tools for green home remodeling projects. Their main tool, the Residential Remodeling Guidelines, cover all the main points you'll want to consider, including the site of your home, water efficiency, energy and atmosphere, material and resources, and your indoor environmental quality. Use the guidelines for your own DIY projects or to prepare yourself for a consultation with a professional.

REGREEN was developed by the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) Foundation and the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), and was launched in March 2008 with the Residential Remodeling Guidelines, which have since been downloaded more than 100,000 times. They remain REGREEN's primary focus, although the program has grown to include other remodeling resources, presentations, educational offerings, and now, their very own website.
