Good idea. The kids always want to help carry the bags, but it's hard to stoop down to their height. I like it.
This would actually be good if you walk to the store with two kids and you want to hold both their hands, but have a shopping bag in one. I know I have wished I had an extra hand to hold onto on several occasions.
I've just bought one in blue/orange and love it. Even if your child doesn't want to hang onto to it, it's still a really neat and sturdy shopping bag.
