I come from a long line of wallpaperers, so I know the sorrow and the glory of a wallpaper project. It's intense, and not something you can change easily (taking down wallpaper = all sorrow, no glory). Luckily, we can now use removable wall decor to add some luxe floral patterns to our walls without the tubs of paste, 20-yr. commitments, and tears upon realizing that the cabbage roses are not lined up correctly. Check it out!
1. Kaleidoscope pattern wall decals by Wall Pops. Their peel-and-stick application process allows you to create your own pattern as a mural, border, or wallpaper. They have lots of great patterns and colors available on their site, as well as examples of pattern and color combinations.
2. Easy Change removable wallpaper from Sherwin Williams' Design By Color line (pattern #SW5CB183954 in White).
3. Edie Frosted Teal removable wallpaper by Tempaper. Modern budding branches in a variety of colors, including teal, moss green, and gray/yellow.
4. Floral Damask vinyl wall decals by Vinyl Use. Made in Italy, this pattern comes in black, gray, and white. Vinyl Use also has a variety of striking floral patterned decals designed by their in-house designers.
5. Peony Faces in gray & yellow by Murals Your Way. Choose from pre-selected panel sizes or custom sized. Choosing their SmartStick repositionable wall covering option will allow you to install and remove your wall covering numerous times.
6. "Love Your Mum" pattern in white and coral by Wallpaper Dolls. Lightly textured vinyl with peel-able backing allows each panel to be applied like a sticker.
7. Hibiscus Wallpaper by Goat Grin Studio. Removable wallpaper made from interior paint grade vinyl with the option of choosing up to three flower colors from a selection of 30 colors.
8. "Happy Flowers", peel and stick-on flower decals by Wall Candy. Bold, modern, and made in the USA of non-toxic materials, these would be great as an accent or for a kid's room.
9. Dogwood Trail (comes in a variety of color options) from Warner Wall's Quintessential collection. If you're looking for a more traditional floral wallpaper, Warner Wall's removable wallpaper line, Easy Walls, offers a nice variety of classic options, such as the Cabbage Rose Bouquet pattern.
10. Easy Change removable wallpaper by Sherwin Williams' Shand Kydd 3 Inspiration (pattern #SW6KS17753 in Pink/Mauve/Rose).

Some of these are very cute, and I believe that they're removable, but what do you have to do to the wall afterward to make it "good as new"?
I like some of these...it's just hard to some of these and not think "granny."
I have the same question as Miami's Elaine. I see a lot of removable wallpapers around now, and I love the idea, but just *how* removable are they?
Yes, my question too as I currently live in a rental .. how hard is it to remove?
off topic, but does anyone know the source of the green sofa?
@ Miami's Elaine and others who want to know how removeable these sticky wallpapers are-
I used the Tempaper wallpaper in my bathroom and in the kitchen. After one year, I took the kitchen paper out because we wanted to go with something else. It came right off, no issues. The adhesive left a bit of a film in a few areas, but soap and water zapped that right off. Tip: pull off slowly. Also, two years later, and the bathroom wallpaper looks like it did when we installed it. This stuff is awesome! (Though kind of a pain to put up.)
Thanks, good to know!
Hi! This is Weezie with Wallpaper Dolls. As for the removability of the product, you should have no problem taking it down it when you are ready. Peel slowly when you are uninstalling, and if you want to speed it up a bit, use a WARM, not HOT hairdryer - this will help the adhesive release and leave your paint intact.
As for the cost, it can get expensive, but still less than drywall repair. Our product is custom-printed on demand rather than warehoused, which makes the range of designs almost infinite. You can have wallpaper or a mural no one else has.
We realize our product isn't for everyone, but if you have that something special in mind that you can't live without, we can help you create it.
Please let me know if we can help with your project: Weezie@WallpaperDolls.com.
Thank you!! Happy papering!

I really like the idea of temporary wall paper but I swear I can't find anything that's not a floral pattern. I want something with some nice bright colors but with more abstract patterns.
@Ashley: We also covered modern removable wallpapers! Here's the link: http://www.apartmenttherapy.com/roundup-modern-removable-wallpaper-167208
(The link to the modern wallpaper article is also noted at the end of this article as well).
Oh awesome, don't know how I missed that. Thanks!
As a longtime professional paperhanger it pains me when people say that wallpaper is not easily removable. What the public generally doesn't know is that they have been making easily removable wallcoverings for decades.
I got so frustrated with this misconception I did a youtube video which shows how simple it is to remove this type of material:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U8GwJtb9elM
At the end of video I point out that you can make ANY wallpaper installation this quick and easy to remove if you hang a nonstrippable type material ---like, say,grasscloth---over strippable fabric backed vinyl liner material. Important: Prime the fabric backed liner with a 100% acrylic primer to insure proper adhesion to the liner.
