Gary has built out several walk-in closets and the ultimate accomplishment was the sliding-door, wall-to-wall closet we designed and built using reclaimed wood. We also built a simple platform bed with a hand-upholstered headboard, which is pieced together from previous, found, and a few new pieces and decorated with (mostly) my own art. He is an architect, I'm a graphic designer and photographer and we really enjoy planning and decorating, then getting down and dirty building things for our little nest.

I have the same kitchen table and stools ... Got it from Linens 'N Things before they went out of business a few years ago. I seemed to remember seeing something similar at Bed, Bath and Beyond.
wow..it even looks good with all the different woods. Somehow it works.
The bedroom is great. I don't think people appreciate the use of natural or raw materials as much anymore. Done right, basic materials like wood and steel are great on their own.
I love the way all the wood makes it feel warm and inviting. A very nice apartment. Very simplistic but elegant and sophisticated.
