We're always on the lookout for a new way to keep paint and similar materials where they belong and make painting less messy and think this idea is quite clever. Even if you're not doing a lot of painting indoors this summer, it could come in handy for sidewalk chalk paint (did you know you can make your own) on the sidewalk.
Michelle of Muffin Tin Mom thought to repurpose used Starbucks cups with plastic covers. They're perfect paint brush holders for young ones who are continually losing their paint brush across the table, and down the chair, and eventually onto the floor. It's a quick and simple tip that's perfect for indoors or out and even if you're not a Starbucks consumer, we bet you have a neighbor who is. They're probably more than happy to save a few (or 50) for you!

Howard Butcher Bloc...
great idea...i've got a messy toddler that this is MADE for!
They always did this in the pre-school classes at the elementary school where I used to work. You can actually buy cups specifically for this purpose (they were in occasional rotation) but the starbucks (or mcdonalds etc) cups are clear so the kids can see the paint and they're easier to clean.
great idea!
I knew a preschool teacher who had collected old milk bottles with nipples from no-longer-pumping/ nursing moms. She cut the tips off the nipples, inverted them in the bottles, and used them for painting.
