Since the debut of the new Method Laundry pump bottle, we've been fans. Not just because it's green, takes up less space or even because it truly cleans our clothes. We…have a crush on the pump. It doesn't leak, drip or dribble but best of all, you can use it time and time again.

Although we're anxiously awaiting the release of the same detergent in bulk so we can refill our own containers, you can remove the lid and add your own detergent to the bottle. Maybe it's more Method, maybe it's your own homemade detergent or a different detergent of your own choosing. Either way, the pump is golden.

To use your own detergent, simply remove the lid from the method bottle and fill it up. Next, pump out detergent until it fills the line on the lid from your alternative soap. This will tell you how many full pumps you need to add for each size load.

Now you can tuck your larger more cumbersome bottle out of sight and banish drips forever. Just refill it as needed. You can also use this bottle for other things like shampoo, conditioner or body wash! Sure it can be recycled, but that doesn't mean you can't put it to use a little longer!
