I don't know a family with kids that doesn't have one (or five) of the classic Radio Flyer wagon. If you've got a wagon to spare, or if it's seen better days, don't throw it out.
Do what Denise of The Painted Home did and repurpose it into a wall shelf. She sawed off the axle and wheels and inserted a couple of wooden shelves. I don't know, all of the rust skeeves me out a little bit.. and I think it could get pretty messy eventually. Perhaps if there's one that's in a bit better shape (like, doesn't look as if it had water sitting in it for 10 years) you could leave it as is or paint it over with a super high-gloss enamel paint. I like the idea in theory, though!
my thoughts were to cover it with a funky contact paper all the way to the rim...after treating it with the rust no more stuff ;D . I do LOVE this!
ooooh or bust out the bottom and make a frame or shadow box!
ok sorry for three comments right in a row! but got another brilliant idea. put a light behind it and punch stars or holes out in a funky / pretty pattern or a letter, number and have a nice lamp or light on the wall. ... i think thats all i have for this. so wanting to find a wagon now!
