Looking for a way to add character to her new home, Katy from Mom and Her Drill didn't want to pay a lot for materials to transform her space. Working in a factory that used a lot of pallets she knew that wood full of character was right under her nose. With a lot of elbow grease and some creative sourcing she was able to come up with this great result! Find out more after the jump.
Using about 20 pallets, Katy was able to cover her entire wall creating a feature that adds tons character to a brand new home.
With a lot of hard work, she took the pallets apart using a Sawzall to avoid splitting the wood when removing the nails. She then glued the boards to the wall to create the look she wanted. Katy had originally planned to paint the wall but once she was done putting them all up she realized she loved the look as is!

White Enamel Flatwa...
There was a debate on homepodge a little while ago about whether or not she should paint the wall. I'm glad she decided not to. I looks amazing unfinished.
Looks great! I wonder if in 20 years this will fall out of favor and go the way of the dreaded paneled walls.
Love it! Katie Bower did this in her son's nursery at their old house.
Nooooo! Not in a nursery! These pallets are known to be loaded with pesticides. Not something to use indoors, let alone in a nursery!
I do love the look, but I would look for wood that I know has no history of pesticides and be careful of other toxics too, like lead paint.
@SuzanneL- if you go to the link you'll see that she ensured that she did not get pallets that were treated with chemicals. Let's not be so quick to throw stones.
