Crafts-turned-tech. We like Crib Candy's recommendation to use this Ribbon Storage Box from Martha Stewart Crafts for...
organizing chargers for your personal electronics. Just hide the chargers in the box (with a power strip) and feed their cords out of the slot.

That's so funny--I think Martha Stewart had a craft on how to make a box for this purpose.
But that's a great idea. The ribbon box is nice and sturdy.
But where will you put your ribbons?!
shani-o, you made me chuckle!
Ah, but one question - how does account for the plug for the power strip through the slot? It's not wide enough to accommodate that. Smaller devices, I can see how those would work, but...what about the power strip itself?
The power strip fits inside the box and you have to cut a hole through the back to plug it in. The small opening in the front would be where all your component plugs come out of. like this: http://www.twolooseteeth.com/MT/archives/000617.html
I love the look of this but would be worried about using a cardboard -- and therefore flammable -- box with electricity. I would think metal would be a safer option but more difficult to make.
thepeoplescortney, would the box be any more flammable than sitting the power strip on the floor? My power strip is currently sitting directly on the carpet, and Im thinking its not much safer there.
You would need to cut a larger hole somewhere along that slot for the plugs to fit through...
Why wouldn't you just charge the appliances inside the box itself? Then all you'd need is the hole for the powerstrip cord.
