We didn't have to go far to find an Ohdeedad in our midst. Apartment Therapy's own co-founder Maxwell is the proud father of 4-year-old Ursula and the two of them have plenty of adventures around the city and at their weekend country home. Here are four of our favorites:

"It's January. It's cold. What would be more invigorating or entertaining than building a swing for a two year old?"

How To Build a Simple Indoor Swing (For Winter): No matter how big your home, feeling cooped up with kids in the winter is a drag. To beat the winter blues, Maxwell built an indoor swing for Ursula and provided a tutorial and tips for anyone to make a swing at home.

"Ursula put presents in the rooms and filled some of them with lavender to make it nicer for the birds."

Look! Putting Up a Big Purple Martin House: Akin to a barnraising, Maxwell enlisted a few neighbors to help erect this nesting spot for Purple Martins as well as create some birdwatching opportunities for Ursula.

"Ursula is very into being a "big girl", so we set out together one weekend to find her a desk. This is our little story that took place over about one month."

Look! A Desk for Lulu. Not every project gets completed in an afternoon. In this case it took Maxwell and Ursula a month to fully complete their mission to find and rework a desk for Urusla to use at our office.

"It was the first time we'd camped out in a tent, and Ursula and I totally bonded as we read a book by flashlight and then practiced zipping the door closed quickly to keep out the mosquitoes."

The Importance of Backyard Camping: One of the best things about being a parent is the chance to revisit a childhood activity and experience it again with your child. In this case it was a chance for Maxwell and Ursula to camp out together in the yard.
