With the Four Seasons Baltimore set to open next week, I have never wanted to be a tourist in my own town as much as I do now! It's luxury living at its best; a five-star, resort-like getaway nestled in the heart of bustling Harbor East.
This $200 million, 18-story hotel has 256 lavish rooms (45 luxury rooms!), 11 spa treatment rooms and an elevated deck boasting an infinity pool. The hotel is slated as modern transitional with Turkish marble accents and Italian glass chandeliers paired with Appalachian-inspired hickory planked floors and black walnut millwork. The artwork adorning the walls is said to be from the Washington Color School, an abstract art movement of the 50's and 60's. Other interior features included in some rooms are built-in fireplaces, private balconies, soaking tubs and separate walk-in rain showers.
Along with the spa, on site you will also find Wit & Wisdom — a tavern by Michael Mina, LAMILL Coffee cafe, Pabu — an updated Izakaya-style restaurant and a pool bar and grill. Perhaps its best attribute? Uninterrupted views of the water and the Inner Harbor as well as the downtown skyline. Standard rooms start at $295 per night or you can choose the 2,800 square feet Royal Suite for a mere $6,000 a night! But, if you hurry, introductory discounted rates are being offered through February. Someone, anyone, sign me up please!

Looks really nice! I just moved to Baltimore from New York. Loving it so far, and the housing stock is amazing. Beautiful rowhouses in artsy neighborhoods can be bought here, and the mortgage is less than a studio in way out Brooklyn.
Oooh! that could be Marina del Rey, CA. But it's Baltimore. Who knew?
Just don't leave Harbor East or the Inner Harbor...
@ColoradoMel Lol. So true.
@ColoradoMel & TKPKgirl - Really?! That's "so true"?! I'm sorry but these kinds of comments about MY CITY (Baltimore) have really gotten old. How much experience do either of you have with Charm City? Let me guess, you've stayed a few days downtown for a convention or watched every season of The Wire, and that's enough to form an opinion on an entire city??
So Mel, I love Colorado and Denver is a great city. However, a quick Google search just showed me that over the past 10 years Denver's Violent Crime Index is exponentially higher that the national average for major cities (even doubled the US average from '04-'06). Does that mean I should never step foot in the city limits? Of course not. Same thing applies to B-more and most major cities in the US. There are bad areas where crimes occur with regularity, but there are also wonderful neighborhoods and residents who take great pride in where they live.
For you to make such a negative generalization about my hometown (which by the way, I lived away from from for 20+ years and then willingly chose to move back to!) is downright offensive. And to do so in the form of a comment on a post that highlights the fact that a top-notch business chose to construct a luxurious hotel here further displays your poor judgement and lack of couth.
go gregorio!!!
but back to the hotel...i think the room in pic 3 already looks dated like it's from 2003-4. however, those views are amazing!
Yay, gregorio!! My hero!
I was born and raised in Baltimore and moved to New York City three years ago. I’m seriously thinking about moving back to Bmore. I like New York, but it certainly helped me appreciate Baltimore more.
And that is one beautiful hotel. I may stay there one weekend.
Seeing more and more of these advertisements-as-articles recently. Seems very anti what AT is about - "if you hurry, introductory discounted rates are being offered through February"??
I live in Mt Vernon, and spend tons of time in Hampden, Fells, Station North, to name just a few neighborhoods. I guess preconceptions about Baltimore though are what keeps it unique and so cheap. While I want more money and more people in the city, I really don't want developers from DC to sink their teeth in here.
