Resource Furniture wants to help you "Reinvent Your Space". That is the mission behind their latest collection of customized space saving furniture featuring artisans from Original Works Studio and Randi Piccio/LRS Interior Design. We attended a recent event unveiling these brilliant new designs.
From sleek revolutionized murphy beds designed by Clei, to multi-purpose tables and flexible layouts, the collection was not only gorgeous, but smart, functional and perfect for urban living. As Lisa Blecker of Resource Furniture explained, "Look at the big picture of how you want to live....Every square foot should be thought about and used to it's fullest potential."
Recently Resource Furniture even created a vignette to showcase NYC Mayor Bloomberg's "adAPT NYC" initiative to bring small space living to the city. The 298sf area in Resource's showroom features space saving designs such as a coffee table that turns into an 6-person dining table and a bed that doubles as a media console.
The collections were truly impressive and beautifully customized. It made us start thinking how to re-define our own apartments!
Thanks to Resource Furniture for a fun lesson on stylish and small urban living!

Sheex Bedding
I really like the idea behind the space saving pieces, especially the couch/bed pieces, but they seem too cold and stark. Are they comfortable?
I love the concepts they have here.Great design with true functionality.
The one drawback I usually encounter is price. I doubt I could afford to purchase their pieces.
Yeah, that's the way it goes...the people who live in small spaces are generally the ones who can't afford higher-end designs for small space, so we keep going to Ikea, etc. Whereas if you can afford these designs, you probably can also afford a large enough space that you don't need them!
not stark, just meh.
