On November 9, the formerly just-furniture company Restoration Hardware is debuting its latest artsy endeavor, RH Contemporary Art. A six-story, 28,000 square-foot space in Chelsea will host the inaugural collection of work commissioned from emerging artists. Fun fact: the wildly popular Rain Room at MoMA was CEO Gary Friedman's first commissioned piece for the new art venture.
