Yesterday, a coworker told us that she received free CFL bulbs at the grocery store for Earth Day. But we went last night, and were offered five free CFLs! That got us thinking...who else is still celebrating Earth Day? Turns out, a lot of major retailers are using this as a chance to celebrate Earth for a week, and are bringing consumers great deals on energy-saving appliances, green cleaning products, organic materials, and more. Jump below for a short list of national savings...

Here's a short list of ongoing Earth-related sales and events that we could come up with. But check your local retailers--maybe you can get up to 5 free CFLs too! (If you're in Texas, check your local HEB for that deal.)

Home Depot: While supplies last, you can get a free CFL and a free water-saving faucet aerator. And all seed packets, including organics, are buy one get one free until April 28.

At Target, free reusable bags (according to our local weekly ad; check your weekly ad to confirm), and everything green is on sale, from Energy Star flat screen TVs to organic sheets to Tom's and Burt's Bees products.

Even Wal-Mart is using April to celebrate Earth month, offering sales and tips for its customers.

Ikea points out that "every day is Earth Day" and offers a list of ways they've always done their part to contribute to the environment.

Cultural Cotton is offering 40% off their "Stop Being Lazy" t-shirts, printed on sustainable cotton, and free shipping when you buy two!

And, finally, if you go see Disney's Earth this week, you'll be planting a tree.
