We've seen a lot of interesting uses for used plastic bottles recently, but we've never seen this idea before: a hook that can turn two plastic bottle into a clothes hanger. Seems like a cool idea—but the people at Inhabitat (where we first saw this) are questioning its "greenness."
The Rethink Hanger puts two plastic bottles to use (instead of sending them to the landfill or recycling center). But it also sorta encourages plastic bottle consumption. And the little hooks, because of their size, don't ship as efficiently normal, flat clothes hangers.
We're a little torn. We like clever ideas like this, but we'd never actually buy one because we don't really consume many drinks out of plastic bottles.
What do you think?
