Spanish lighting hardware company Fontini is celebrating their 60th Anniversary with a collection of rocking and rotary lightswitches. The 1950 Collection is a line of modern decorative hardware that celebrates the history of electrical hardware at a time when "industrial chic" is all the rage.
The 1950 collection is made of brass and porcelain, and come in nickel-plated, antique bronze, golden and porcelain finishes. The porcelain designs are our personal favorite — it is unfortunate that electrical lighting hardware is so difficult to import from Europe!

#4 is gorgeous.
I need more of number 4- all the original rooms in our house have these fixtures- now have to change the modern ones in the extension to match.
I used to have a #4 in my last apartment. It made the most satisfying "click" sound.
My grandma has these awesome old light switches that are two round buttons ...when you press the top one to turn the light on, the bottom one pops out. You then press the bottom one (popping out the top one) to turn the light off. Her whole house has them and I've always loved them.
Oh man! I ADORE these!
Makes me want to rewire the whole place... but I rent. And don't know how.
Sigh. The electrical wiring in this place is from the dark ages – why couldn't they keep the switches too...
I really wish the rocking and rotary styles worked in the US. I spent most of last night trying to find a similar style from an American supplier and only found modern looking styles from Forbes and Lomax....
Rejuvenation buys its push button switches from Classic Accents, then turns around and sells them at a higher price. The buttons even have CA on them, for Classic Accents! Save yourself about 5-7 bucks apiece and buy them from Classic Accents yourself.
