Star Wars and vintage Scandinavian design may seem like an odd couple, but I think you'll agree that Jan Skácelík's mashup is kind of brilliant. Forget tauntauns, Luke Skywalker could just as well have ridden a Dala horse.
Jan is a graphic designer, composer, photographer and blogger in the Czech Republic which maybe gives him the needed distance to riff a bit on the iconic Star Wars imagery. His versions are fresh and modern and a much more mature way to give a nod to these movies in your or your kids' decor.
You'll find them ($19) in Jan's Etsy shop, ReStyle, along with many other colorful, retro-ish prints.

White Enamel Four-P...
I ADORE this shop : )
Oh this is too fabulous! And what a great idea for that Star Wars loving person in your life to get their fix AND have it look not quite so .... Star Wars. :) Very Cool!
I love this shop too! Scandinavian aesthetic is where it's at (in my shop too!). I love his tea time prints...
Wow! Jan is incredibly talented. Looks like the Star Wars: A New Hope is the only print left on Etsy, and I can see why.
these have been on my wish list for a while now
Hmm.. I made a eyechart art like his a last summer.
Here is my easy to make version: http://hodgepodge-babselou.blogspot.com/2010/08/subwayeyechart-art.html
I love his retro Star Wars prints!
So so perfect for families with little boys! Want.
Wow... he has LOTS of great posters. (Although the Star Wars ones are great too.)
This is the coolest thing ever.
Brilliant! Am upgrading my son's furnishings a bit, so this is wonderfully timely! I'll have to show him these (am letting him pick out his upgrades). He's also half-Scandinavian descent so there you go.
Just received these for my son's room. They look great and the shipping was VERY speedy! Quite happy.
Am I the only one planning to put this in my twin girls' bedroom? :)
