Does your taste lean towards vintage? Modern? Perhaps a little of both? If you're searching for something unique for your home — without breaking the bank — make sure you pop into Retropolitan the next time you find yourself in Nashville.
Nestled in Hillsborough Village, walking this historic and charming neighborhood is the ideal way to spend the day. Whether you're a design junkie or avid collector of unusual finds, your trip wouldn't be complete without stopping into Retropolitan. The space is bright and hip, filled with an ever-changing inventory of funky furnishings, art, gifts and more.
Owner, Amy Heimermann, describes her store as "part punchy retail space, part savvy design studio and part artistic venue," the perfect way to sum up this gem of a shop. I had my eye on a set of chairs revamped in a mod peacock fabric as well as the vintage wicker egg chair hanging in the window display. Flying home? Don't fret — the sweet clerk (oozing with southern hospitality while dishing out the local must-see spots), said they will gladly ship their goods to your doorstep.
