Return Engagement: The Vintage Bazaar

Chicago's Vintage Bazaar will be setting up shop at the historic Aragon Ballroom every second Sunday of the month through September. I visited TVB this past Sunday and was impressed with the scope of the offerings and the friendliness of the vendors.

I was also impressed with these donuts that were being sold via food truck...they're like little puffs of magic. The market (and the donuts) will continue all summer, so check it out!

Here are 10 of my favorite (non-donut) finds. Vintage clothing, collectibles, records, and artwork are all on the docket as well. Many of the vendors accept credit cards, but cash is recommended.

Top Row:
1. Charming pop-up storefront display by Etsy seller Pink Grapefruit, filled with vintage textiles and kitchen supplies.
2. I love these lamps by Vintage Edison, handmade from vintage bottles and recycled wine and liquor boxes.
3. Lamp from Martha Torno of Modern Times. Martha noted that her booth includes lots of great retro finds that she collects and sells separately from the goods sold at Modern Times.
4. Hip industrial stools by Plankwerks, made from repurposed architectural pieces. Very reasonably priced at $75 each.
5. Vintage, newly upholstered rattan chair from First Born Vintage. Lots of cool furniture, home decor, and custom upholstery at this shop.

Bottom Row:
6. Vintage mirror from Indie Arts Vintage & Marketplace, a cool collective out of Indianapolis.
7. Bulldog print procured from a Ralph Lauren store, from First Born Vintage.
8. Orange striped Winterling tea set from Victims of Vintage, a collective that includes Sylvia's Finds, All Things Chicago, and MidCentury Reading.
9. Vintage rooster serving tray from Domiciles.
10. Teak and black upholstered chair from Century Chicago.

Check out The Vintage Bazaar's official site for all the details on upcoming dates, as well as some colorful seller profiles.
