We continue to be intrigued by pallet reuse — it seems like a no-brainer to reuse the abundant shipping by-product, although there is some concern about the chemical treatments on the wood. But if you're reassured on that front, there are so many creative ways to reuse them. Here are 4 examples of pallet pieces for the home: a couple in original pallet form, one deconstructed, and even another used 3 ways in one of our reader's garden. Find out how they are being used, after the jump!
Shown above the jump, from left to right:
1 Design company House Doctor refurbished pallets to a smooth, stained and sealed finish, added a glass top and wheels and transformed them into coffee tables. They're available for £550 at BODIE and FOU.
2 Lolita gave this pallet a quick upgrade with a simple coat of dark paint. It's now being used as a plant stand.
3 This pallet was deconstructed and the boards were reassembled and laced together to make an outdoor swing. Find out how to make this over at Instructables.
4 & 5 For proof that people can actually live with pallets, our readers used pallets to make their own outdoor dining table, lounge chairs and garden planters. See more photos in their My Great Outdoors entry.
