RFID Tagging for Laundry

Here is a novel idea for using RFID. While we typically hear about RFID being used for various payment applications like toll booths and mass transit like the Oyster cards in London, designer Sangmin Bae bring this technology into the home with a concept for smart laundry.

Do you read the care label on every piece of clothing before you drop it in the wash? Apparently 70% of people don't. With this concept, all you need to do is throw it in the machine and let it take care of all the settings. Interesting idea, but what happens if you throw a dry clean only sweater in with the rest of the darks?
