From the Golden State. With the internet, furnishing your apartment has changed for good. While we focus primarily on New York area stores, any good shop with a clear website and ease of shipping is fair game for our Stores Guide. Rhoom came to us when we saw a cool, small desk of theirs (#320) featured at Funfurde. Following up, we found a very nice small range of furniture, all of which share a soft, modern aesthetic and somewhat of the light colors and open plan styling one would feel works well in LA. Headed up by designer Behzad Haghiri, Rhoom focuses on bedroom, living room and office. Using beautiful, all wood finishes and Maharam fabrics on their seating, we like the simplicity of their beds as well as their shelving. Their seating looks a lot like B&B Italia knockoff, but is elegant nevertheless. In fact, at first glance much of Rhoom looks like you have seen it before, but as you look closer you notice a subtlety and uniqueness of detail that sets it all apart. All pieces are manufactured in LA, which means craftsmanship is high, but so are prices. We recommend keeping these guys on your radar. MGR Know Rhoom? Leave a comment or review below...
