Right Tool for the Job: Laser Level

The only thing worse than not getting around to hanging pictures is hanging them and then stepping back and realizing that they're not level. Never again with this Black and Decker BullsEye Auto-Leveling Laser and Stud Sensor. Perfect for hanging things in a line and securing heavy frames or mirrors on a stud. And remember the rule of thumb is that the middle of the picture should be around 60 inches up from the floor, and when in doubt, go lower.

I have this item. One suggestion, use the "measure twice, cut once" method with the stud sensor. I found that I could mark it once, check again later, and the end of the stud was in a different place which could be pretty dangerous. I admit I was terrified every time I drilled. Perhaps I was doing it wrong but I always followed their directions.

I thought I was the only one!!!

I don't trust mine. I need to take it back and exchange it. I bought it last year and I had to drill a million holes because it kept giving me false signals. Then it said there were no studes in my walls. I almost passed out!!

I also bought it, and returned it. It was a joke. I would rather bat my eyes at the neighbor and have him do it for me. Plus he is a stud, so I don't need a stud finder.
