Fancy bibs are something that I love to look at but they just always seem extremely impractical. I mean, sure, the package of Circo bibs I bought 3 for $7 are ugly as hell but considering how much he's spit up on them, I don't mind the fact that they're nasty and stained now. I would only pay $21 for a bib if it was something that could be easily wiped clean and even then there are $10 versions of those.
They're very cute, but $21 for a bib? Are you kidding? I guess it would make a nice shower present, but to be honest I'd rather receive $21 of cheaper bibs. My daughter goes through three or more bibs a day, depending on how much she drools and how messy she was at each meal. I bought cute terry bibs at BJ's for something like 10 for $8. Besides, once your baby is eating solids, bibs get stained, no matter how much oxyclean or Totally Toddler you put on them. (BTW, Totally Toddler is the best stain remover ever. I use it on all our laundry now.)

These bibs are expensive, but absolutely beautiful! I make my own bibs for my son (and also sell them on Etsy: www.obabydesign.etsy.com), and I have to say that I get a great deal of pleasure out of putting something beautiful on my son, even for a messy meal! (And I recommend Oxy Clean for stains... I couldn't live without it!)
Rikrak has a great eye and makes gorgeous stuff. If you want beauty and you want to support hand-made, eco-friendly products, non-sweatshop products you might have to pay a little bit more. I recently bought a custom bib from her for a friend's baby shower. It's a lovely gift (if I do say so).
She's also a fabulous person, very supportive of the craft community.
