Summer may be ending soon but that doesn't mean we have to say goodbye to summer striped decor. We love stripes year round as a way to keep your space looking fresh and upbeat...
Risulinna incorporates subtle stripes into her home decor using a variety of techniques. A satiny striped wall in the the bedroom reads cool and calm. In addition, the sheen of the stripes paired with their vertical placement on the wall helps give the appearance of a taller ceiling. We get just a hint of stripes in the entryway but their presence here feels grounding and gives the area a focal point. In an adjacent space, plaid, yellow chairs brighten up the light colored room and add a playfulness in an unexpected spot.

Oh there are a few nice examples of plaid here. There was a post on plaid a few weeks back. These are more subtle/soothing ways of introducing plaid.

I second the request for a source for the curtains in the first photo!
Hi all,
the fabric of the curtains is Marimekko's Ginkgo (by Kristiina Isola).
Yellow chair is called "Kaveri", and its a Finnish designer Kirsi Valanti's product. (http://www.valanti.fi/) Very comfy chairs, I like them a lot.

This is the first time I've ever seen vertical blinds actually work in space. Not that I'd ever choose them but nice post!
