We were really inspired by the raw slab window bench in Jasmine's whole-home makeover. While these mirrors would be a wildly ambitious DIY project, they're quite unique, and perhaps not impossible to recreate.

At first we thought the mirror was somehow poured into a channel of a single piece of burled, slab wood, but on closer inspection we can see that two very thin pieces are mounted to the rectangular mirror underneath.

pretty but really reminding me of the 70's
freakin' rad!
these would drive me bonkers.
don't like, even a little.....
Yuck.
ohhhh they're beautiful! the woodgrain is striking ...
gorgeous, but few homes could pull them off well.
I think they're gorgeous- they manage to combine a very modern rectangular shape with a wild natural form.
I can't imagine trying to use these vertically- too swimmy, yikes.
However- why not position them horizontally on top of a very sleek and modern buffet cabinet? What a neat element for a formal dining room- especially behind a sophisticated bar set up.
these are fantastic! thanks for showing this!!
wow. wow. I want one made with beach bleached wood, hung horizontally, on a flat white wall. I'm going to DIY this, or at least try to, this summer.
Love the wood...
