Product: Road ID Interactive
Rating: Strong Recommend
Exercising outside can unfortunately be a hazardous adventure. Running and cycling can especially put an athlete in harms way when contending with multi ton vehicles. While an armor suit in currently unavailable, Road ID's interactive product means you are safe when you exercise outdoors.
The Road ID wrist bands have been around for a while along with their other safety products. Beloved by hardcore athletes, they are good insurance for if injury strikes while exercising. Most people we know (including ourselves) do not carry our drivers licenses and insurance cards while out on the road. The Road ID interactive features all of that information conveniently stored online and accessible though the phone or web interfaces. That way if you get hit by a truck, the attending parcamedics can use your Road ID to find all of your relevant health info. In our casem,we are allergic to latex so any contact could cause unnecessary complication during surgery. Road ID interactive steps in to provide the information that might help save our life.
Just like the original Road ID, the interactive model is conveniently available as a wristband, ankle-band, and dog tags. We personally have tested and love the wristband model finding it unobtrusive and comfortable when we are out on the road. The Road IDs are available in a variety of colors and styles to fit the way you wear them. One touch we are especially fond of is the high intensity reflective thread and coating on the metal plate adding another means to keeping ourselves visible in low light.
Our suggestion is to pick one up if you participate in rigorous outdoor exercise. Nothing beats the peace of mind that an emergency responder always has your information even when you cannot speak for yourself.
