Robert Odgen Lamps at Sundance

Sundance continues its tradition of simple, rustic furniture with quirky, one of a kind lamps by Robert Odgen.

Robert Ogden, a self-taught artist and metalsmith, scours flea markets, factories, junk yards (basically anywhere and everywhere) for scrap pieces to build his unique brand of industrial art.

The lamps are made from recycled materials like plumbing parts, farming equipment, salvaged knobs, plumb bob counterweights, even the bases are antiques. Sundance snatched up a wide range of the lamps and prices vary from $795 - $1295.

Ah, Sundance. Purveyor of rustic chic for the Restoration Hardware, investment banker crowd. Nothing like welded old parts sold for a cool grand. Part of the new "authenticity" pushed by the WSJ.

I like these alot, although i could not afford them right now.

Before I go.. why are some of you so damn bitchy? jeez, drink some tea and chill.

Sundance has lovely stuff...I can't afford.

Don't expect much for these. The designer, Robert True Ogden, has reputation for interior quality. While he has knack for marrying odds and ends, he seems to lack the ability to create something that will stand in the real world. These items like much of his other creations will not stand the test of time.
