Former Rolling Stone
Art Director and current publishing consultant Roger Black lives in a Gramercy Park apartment in New York City. About once a month, he makes the 9-hour journey to his 3,000 acre ranch in West Texas. Named "Cinco Camp" — after the five shipping containers that form his second home — the place is about as different from New York City as one could imagine...
The shipping containers remain largely untouched and each of the five has a different purpose — eating, cooking, sleeping, storage. The Midland, Texas architect who designed the home, Mark Wellen, put the grouping on short stilts to discourage "snakes and vermin"
